ABOUT ME

When I first came into contact with Ayurveda, I was at a turning point in my life. I began to question my previous behavior, thought more deeply about my eating habits, my body image, and my responsibility for my mental and physical health.

I gained a deeper understanding and self-acceptance over time with the help of Ayurvedic philosophy. I began and am beginning to feel more and more into my body. I am more and more in tune with what is good for me, what is not, and how my body reacts to it. Ayurveda follows no dogma; mistakes are allowed and important for a deeper understanding of ourselves.

Self-love, patience, and trust in our bodies accompany us on our path to health.

HOW DID I COME TO AYURVEDA?

While studying cultural studies, I completed my Ayurvedic training in Berlin and traveled to India to learn the art of oil massage. Since then, the healing power of manual therapy has convinced me again and again of its potential. I have completed my training as a naturopath, am in further training to become a nutrition coach and am looking forward to deepening my knowledge of body and mind even further!

WHAT MAKES AYURVEDA SO HEALING FOR ME?

The philosophical world view of Ayurveda is based on opposites. Ayurveda is an allopathic medicine that thrives on the interaction of the elements. This understanding is based on universal and general laws of nature whose validity endures beyond time. Ayurveda focuses on the individuality of the person, the unique composition of Prakrti, the nature of man, and Vikrti, the current state of man, who deviates from his nature through his way of life and behavior. The way we look at ourselves - demanding but also loving - is of great importance, because it defines how we deal with ourselves and our fellow human beings.

HOW DO I DESCRIBE MY MANUAL THERAPY?

The flow of energy during my massages is like a subtle, silent communication, which manifests in a faster or deeper and calm dynamic. My movements follow a choreography between two bodies that are connected to each other throughout the entire treatment. The Ayurvedic oils enable the energetic exchange, as the oils have both carrier and transmitter qualities.

WHAT WOULD I TAKE TO A DESERT ISLAND?

The chocolate double biscuits from Alnatura :)

WHAT ARE MY 3 BEST AYURVEDA EVERYDAY TIPS?

Drinking warm water or spiced tea made from coriander, cumin and fennel seeds throughout the day.

Taking Triphala and 1 teaspoon each of linseed and psyllium husks in a glass of water in the evening before going to bed.

Paying conscious attention to my breath before eating. I can appreciate and enjoy my meal so much more and also feel full sooner.
